‘Coco Noel – a Christmas collection’ is a CD of Christmas jazz instrumentals released by Andre Woodvine and Guitarist Stefan Van den Bossche. It features twelve unique interpretations of traditional yuletide music along with two originals penned by Andre and Stefan. The music on Coco Noel is warm and festive with a laid-back feel, reflecting the Caribbean, South American and Jazz influences of this well-known local jazz duo.

“Stefan and I enjoyed the challenge of composing original Christmas instrumentals,” says Andre, “Giving traditional holiday songs a fresh twist was also fun.” Van den Bossche composed the title track ‘Coco Noel’ while Woodvine wrote the playful track ‘It’s Xmas (again)’. Andre plays saxophones and flute on the CD, while Stefan performs on a custom made eight-string guitar, allowing him to play bass and guitar at the same time. Stefan also contributes several tasty improvisations on acoustic guitar. The cover design of Coco Noel features an attractive original painting by local artist Gwen Taylor.
