Andre enjoys composing in a variety of idioms and in 1992 won the Heineken Caribbean Song Competition with his piece "Hold You In A Song"'. He has produced two CDs of original Caribbean Jazz, Voyager in 1995 and Citronella in 1998. Andre's original compositions have been featured on The BET Cable Jazz channel, including a special one-hour showcase entitled "Jazz in the sun".

In 1997 the Barbados Telephone Company featured Andre on a series of telephone credit cards recognizing jazz musicians who have made a significant contribution to the countries' jazz scene.

In 1998 he assisted in the formation of the first associate degree of music program at the Barbados Community College, where he now teaches part-time.

Andre's recent activities include tours to Martinique, and Toronto, Canada where he performed on the popular Canadian television’s Mike Bullard show.

André, his wife and son reside on the island of Barbados.
